the best thing about the Mosins (besides being bad a** thunder sticks) is they break down quicker than any other rifle i've had to clean. 5 minutes and you're down to every component. same for reassembly.

I am a former mosin collector had 5 very nice 91/30s 2 of which were non-imports with matching numbers however they didn't have the appropriate paper work so they weren't worth much more than an import. I knew most of their story but couldn't back it up so they were just another pair of mosins. I got into some financial problems and sold them all

Things are picking up for me very slowly but times are getting better so now its time to rebuild.

SOG has been good to me even with returns and thats a rarity in milsurp land.

I bought one of those ex-drill 1903a3 actions and when I sent it to my smith to install the barrel and once he noticed it was a drill receiver, he told me come pick it up because it too much of a risk to use them and doesn't want to be responsible for any accidents. so i told them that i didn't feel comfortable with it and they took it back and refunded my money with to attitude what so ever thats an A+ in my book.

    well, enough of my rambling.

anybody have pictures of a 91/30 they got from SOG?

That's right kar98k ! Never I had troubles; it's good because you can clean it as well as it needs. Good purchase.

On your new Moison I think you will enjoy the first of many Moisons. I say that because they have a tendency to become lonely and you will have to buy more to keep them happy.

in answer to the other question: SOG=Southern Ohio Gun.

Southern Ohio Gun (distrbutor/dealer that also sells plenty of gear direct to private "Curio and Relic" firearms licence holders).

Just to clarify RudyN's answer a tad, hopefully.

I just got one a few weeks ago and I love it. Cabelas got a load of them in and I got there early to handpick from the best. The whole bunch was pretty nice. All matching numbers, but re-arsanaled. I striped and cleaned the metal very quickly and the stock came clean in about a week and a half. It looks great and like someone else said, it's pretty lonely and looking for a companion.
