    Angry Ebay canceled my Auction

I 'Had' a auction up on ebay for a nice Type 2 Underwood Slide posted yesterday. Ebay canceled it today. One bidder and '7' watchers.
Ebay's email just said it was a "banned' Item"...yet there are other M1icon slides for sale and others recently sold???
I'm off now to send them a email..

I think the Ebay Nazis thought it was an M2 (type VI) slide. Any full auto parts a verboten. You should have listed it as a Type II slide. I ran into that problem about that about 3 or 4 years ago.

You may be correct..however I 'think' the operative word in my Add was "slide". While I did say in the body description it was a Type Two (2) for a early Underwood. Who know's what tripped the goofy trigger on ebays' part.

I've researched recent & current sales for various M1icon "Operating/slides". I'll repost it after my other ebay auctions are completed. I don't want to get to '****.y' with ebay just yet It appears that less description may be better than being totally clear 'up-front'. I take really good Pix's so maybe I should let the buyer's decide on that basis. Still ..

I did check my account after they knoocked my add off and eBay deleted the insertion fee so I haven't lost anything but my time.

    BIG TIME ...GRRR!

If you think that is crazy, last night I went on ebay and looked up newly listed items and there was a complete Inland M1icon Carbine for sale, type 3 barrel band and rear sight with an opening bid of $700 - no BS. I almost fell out of my chair laughing. I emailed the guy to let him know that ebay and the Feds don't really approve of that type of activity. He sent me an email the next morning stsing that he pulled the ad and it was now listed on GA, I didn't check though. How is that for a Carbine story?

    Mike,
I've had several stock auctions pulled by the Ebay word police.
I think it was because I had mentioned the word 'Barrel' channel in each, a few were long channel stocks.
I see now that most trying to sell parts there just give a vague description. Such as M1icon Carbine Inland part and give good pictures for potential buyers to see what type it is. Part of it seems to be just getting the short straw also.
Many triggers, bolts and even some barrels are getting thru that way.
But I know how frustrating it can be to see a auction pulled just days before ending.

    Good Luck,

    Charlie

I had them pull an M1A1icon repro stock I had listed when I lived in Kalifornia. They said M1A1 stocks are illegal in Kalifornia and said they notified the appropriate authorities! Problem is, it is only illegal to have one if it is mounted to a carbine.

I do remember your posting about similer issues with your ebay stock ads. I tend to get to "precise" in my auction descriptions and with afterthought I think that I may have placed a "trigger word" (whatever that means?) in the ad.

Anyway..they dumped it and since I have several other things up I've chosen not to argue the point with ebay just now.I really don't want to attract ebays attention to my other auctions.

What I did do and I'll probably be accused of mis-using this forum; I posted the Underwood Slide on the WTS section of this forum. I was quite surprised at how easy it was to post the pictures.

I'm gonna kick back with two fingers of 'Wild Turkeyicon' - Cuss ebay some more and thank you all for letting me vent!

you have to be, real good with words and pictures when trying to get one over the Ebay watchdogs.
they are employed by Ebay, to check new auctions, and watch for for words,
then a quick view, and if it looks fishy, they just pull it.
my ex brother in law worked for Ebay, guy was a dolts, and had no clue what a slide, op rod, M1A1icon or anything else was for that matter.

i sold a few 03 barrels, by listing them as a 1903 springfield 24 inch tube. and with 2 pics, one of the rear breach, and one of the maker and date...
i had it with a fair buy it now price..they all sold in a day, and made it past the Ebay morons.
ill have a few banned items on right now, a Browning A5 bolt, with other parts, and a few firing pins,
all are in lots of parts...
    lets see if my Browning highpower lot makes it....:}

I had six auctions for parts ended last week by eBay. I called them and spoke my mind. I got the standard BS from a girl would did not know squat. Needless to say, I got no satisfaction at all. I would like to list everything on GB, but nothing sells very well on that site.

I think that Sturmgewehr.com is the worst for pulling adds.Every ad I've placed was pulled by "BUDDY" and for the life of me I followed their rules as close as I could interpret them. He gives no reason as to why he pulls adds except :YOU NEED TO READ THE RULES". As for ebay I've been lucky so far.As for GB, Most items start at what they sell for on ebay. Just my opinion.
