Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

That is one big man. He makes that No1 look tiny.

The captain pugwash telescope isn't fixed to the rifle, it's in a stand NEXT to the rifle. You couldn't optically fix up a rig like this because there will not be a focal point at which you coud focus a grat in a draw telescope like this and with movement in the draws, the image would be...., well....., anywhere!

PL, the whole thing is tongue in cheek, my comment was on the shooter himself. His hands are huge and the rifle literally, looks tiny in comparison to him.
The spotting scope set up is unusual. Those scopes are a pain to focus and have an extremely small FOV.
Great to see some one using that old tech though.
A few years ago, I bought a small, high quality, pocket telescope in 15x. They are finicky to say the least to get a sharp image and the rear lens tend to be very small.
I wonder what that great old scope is worth?

The telescope stand looks very similar to to the "BALMORE" folding telescope stand advertised in the pre-war Parker Hale catalogues List No.227H.
Price 9/6 Postage 5d.
