    Volume I, Bavarian Rural Police

Wouldn't you know, the first box I opened had the promised flip sight gun. The wood is not numbered to the gun, but most of the metal parts have the same S/N. I was very impressed with the finish of the metal parts. I would hazard a guess that this is original finish.. If you need addl. photo, I'll be happy to try to help.

    OUTSTANDING Ronnie!

Are you still resisting the temptation to rip open all the other boxes like a kid on Christmas morning??? (If you haven't, you have the constitution of a monk!)

    (Jealous) congratulations!

    Ed,

Ron has probably opened all the boxes already and he's hugging all of his new Bavarians like teddy bears in his bed. (I wouldn't blame him!)

Heck, Charlie slept with a Rock-Ola barrel when he was in his near death bed and on hard narcotics!
(He'll never live that down because his wife Edye told me it was true!)

Ron, remember those "road trips" we all used to do when we were young???? Well, you are hosting one come Summer time, you just don't know it yet! I think everyone in the DFW area needs to pack up some "keepsakes" and meet at your place come summer for a gun shoot! Everbody start stocking up, its gonna be BYOB (Bring Your Own Bullets)!! We can call it the Great Texas Carbine Shootout.... Ok, what about the Greater Texas Carbine Reunion and Chili Cookoff?

    Any good ranges out there???

Well tired, You know, that sounds like a lot of fun.... Buncha geezerly old guys with weapons !! Scary, scary!! And for sure, we've got a place to do the shootin'.....
I promise I've not opened all of the boxes.... But, patience, my friends.... I do have a little actual work to do. But the weather here is really in the toilet.. No driving, that's for sure... Sooo, maybe I can devote some time to this little project.
And, oh, By the way.... I make some chili that will warm the cockles of your heart!! Really !!!

    Harlan,
    Just for the record.......
    That was a barreled receiver.

    Charlie

Ok Ronnie, you confessed that you opened them all up and a couple even looked BETTER (if that was possible)...

    Where are the pics?????????????????????????

And since most of us will never be able to afford to win an auction like that (I aint complaining, I do ok), the next best thing is having SUCH A GREAT FRIEND who is willing to share his auction win with us.... so given that I have kissed up enough this morning.... WHERE ARE THE PICS???????

    Ed

P.S. Charlie, you are right that you will never live that down, but you have your wife to thank for that since she is the one who caught you "cheating" on her with a firearm!!! But I do want to know just one thing.... did you respect the barrel receiver in the morning?????
