Aside from the Winchester A5 side mount, all the reproductions are for scopes that are sort of Unobtainium or are horribly expensive. Proper Britishicon marked A5's aren't exactly common, either, but a regular A5 or Lyman 5A will look OK.

ETA Threads combined, so a bit of repetition below.

    no1 mk3 scope mount

it seems like so many companies out there make clones of scope mounts for alot of models of the british 303. i have a no1 mk3 and have been searching for weeks and turn up empty handed. im realy sick of looking spending up to six hours or more doing internet searches. most people say there's not a mount for my model but on this webb site (milsurps) i see lots of pics that makes me want one even more. does anybody in this great big world have any info of a person, buisness, ect. making these mounts. not realy interested in the mounts that ARENT fixed to the gun like those ati/sks floating mounts, i want a copy of original im tired and would like nothing more than to find the rainbow at the end of the road

What are you trying to do?
The problem with a clone set of bases (like on the Lithgowicon HT) is that you would require a set of clone rings with the claw mount, unless you have a pattern'18 scope with rings on it.
There may be a possibility of getting clone bases in the future as I've heard of someone having some made up now, they will not be doing rings though, and without the correct rings your sunk. As far as I know no one makes clone rings for this type of base.
If you want to mount modern scope, just get the receiver ring and charger bridge drilled and tapped and mount a bridge mount and conventional rings and scope.

    Repro PPCo bases available

Slightly confused by h8pasword's question about availability of scope mounts for the SMLE No.1 MkIII when he has already enquired about my repro PPCo. base that is on ebay- item 120528133144. I wasn't going to plug it on the forum but he asked the question about availability.
