Lone Ranger's silver Krag cartridges

So the image I posted was what the cartridges looked like after they came off of the production line in the late 1900s? I have a number of almost as old Krag cartridges but they appear to be brass. Isn't tin greyish?:

Not all were tinned. Tinned did pretty much go with "reloaded." I don't expect consistency from them and I'm rarely disappointed.

I meant the late 1800s production..
One gun smith told me that they were nickle plated!!
