Inland for $25.00 in 1963
Got to exploring my Inland that my dad bought in 1963 through NRA that I Inherited. My Grandson did not like the scope on it when I traded my brother a pistol for it. We shot it at shooting range, now he doesnt want to take the scope off, and I bought a rear site a few weeks back. Oh well, Grandson wins. But I did remove it today to get serial number for my records. It is the type scope ( B square I think), that has a tapped dovetail insert in the reciever dovetail, so no problem there. This gun has a very low serial number. Any significance in that? serial is 5 digits (990xx), which would have made it an early production model. I put the scope back on it for my grandson. He likes it now that he shot my Standard last weekend with type 2 sight and was not nearly as accurate. I dont know, an M-1 just dont look right with a scope, but he likes it.
