When Santa Fe Arms converted No. 4's to No. 5's, did they scrub the serial number and add their own?

Golden State Arms always stamped their rifles with the company name. My Santa Fe has the original serial number it left Maltby with. I don't know what Gibbs did as far as numbers.

I have two Santa Fe Arms rifles, one is pure sporter, scrubbed(No4 Faz), one is a No5 clone and not scrubbed(M47C). Both have the marking as shown in lucky dogs photo.

Santa Fe left the original serial number intact. They did not re-number their conversions.
