Dopey noob question - problem uploading images.

I can upload images within posts no problem and the site seems to resize my images to comply with size limits.

However trying to post to my gallery is where I'm hitting a brick wall. My initial gallery post uploaded just fine. I've since been trying to upload images of other rifles through the Edit options screen and man, it takes forever to get nowhere. I've tried resizing an image down to 1000 pixels on the long edge and still it takes 25 minutes to not upload.

Clearly I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what and frankly my attention span is waning.

Help please someone?

Yes, I've read that through too. I'll resize an image to say 750 pixels on the long edge and see if that's the issue. As the one I've been pushing for the last day or so is anything but square I doubt I'm over-size but I'll try anything. Watch this space eh?

It's not about pixels, but rather file size and format. I suspect your file size is too big, but I could be wrong.

Email me to badger@milsurps.com one of the pics that you can't upload and I'll check it for you, plus upload it to the current album as a test on your behalf.

The Microsoft Re-sizer program is excellent and when I "right click" 800x600 for resizing using it, the pics are a great size for viewing on the Internet.
