Austrian NPM -U- Part II: SG

Finally have some marginally detailed pics of the Service Grade Austrian National Postal Meter I picked up on my second trip (last week). Oddly enough this one also has a Union Switch and Signal sub-contracted receiver--that makes two for me and only 50,050 to go...

    Data:
Receiver: National Postal Meter 4346xxx U
Barrel: Buffalo Arm (sic, no S) 12-1943 (sic, 19 included) flaming bomb
Flat bolt: N 14, faint stencil of the last four digits of the receiver number
Trigger Housing: N 16, plum colored Austrian re-blue
Hammer: half-stamp of what looks like UI
    Front sight: SN
    Recoil plate: LN
    Slide: C / N
    Trigger: BOE ? Faint
    Band: Type I, UI
Rear sight: milled adjustable SA with half stamp of armorer's wheel
Stock: Highwood Trimble TN, last four receiver #, no other markings
Handguard: unmarked 2 rivet, finish matches stock

Stock, TH, Slide, and bolt bear last four digits of the receiver number.

Trigger housing marked LGKST 1125--for Steirmark, Austriaicon

Green plastic luggage tag on the sling pivot reads: "Inspector Franz Huber
Gendarmerie Post, St. Stefan." Translation courtesy of James Mock, the one and only. My huge thanks to him for all his hard work. May he live a thousand years.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered.
