~Angel~ bought this beautiful set-up from Advisory Panelicon member stencollector. He used to make these up, but I'm not sure if he does any longer. So if you want a great wall display set-up of a Long Branch Sten that's street legal, check with him.

Great guy to deal with ....

The SEco mark can be found on the mk2 sten magwells as well, it is certainly not an uncommon feature. But I am with tiriaq on this one, I think that mk1 is a put together of other mark parts plus a few homemade items. I also note the 1 is stamped in different font and size than the rest of the "sten mk" nomenclature.

Thanks for the kind words. I would still make them up if someone really demanded one, but I have spent the last two winters in a warmer climate, so production of these goodies has been halted for more meaningful work.

Maybe someone can explain this sten with the strange (to me) markings calling it a .22 survival rifle, single shot. It is actually .45 Cal??

Does it say M7 survival rifle? Because there was a AR7 survival rifle but this isn't it. This could be an attempt to legitamise a FA STEN, If you are asking if its .45, i take it the barrel is nothing like .22 size, in which case its probably still in 9mm. Apart from the markings, the strange thing is the selector button has been removed and the trigger mech housing has been removed and then badly refitted to the tube (Or thats how it appears). Mr Laidlericon will be a good person to ask for an oppinion.

It is a .45 and not a 9mm for sure, he has two in 45 cal. The thing that is so strange is it looks as if the part should be there. It is a dewat but whoever did this did a perfect fit of that strange piece. The piece is the exact same thickness as the rest of the metal in the gun.

Any chance of photos of the rest of the gun? if its a dewat the barrel could be just made from a .45 barrel. Is the mag a 9mm mag converted? I just cant see a .45 being fired from a sten without a much heavier Block to contain the pressure. I would imagine a modified 9mm block modified to .45 would cause the bolt to cause severe damage to the gun and probably the firer.

Willl look into this more and try to get another picture of two if he lets me have them. For sure it is a .45 and he has at least two 9mm all dewats.
