    Hi Brian,

Very nice find...can you remove the top guard and tell me what is stamped on the barrel knox for part number and/or proof marks? Also the barrel length beyond the receiver face to the muzzle. Trying to ID a loose barrel I have.

    Thanks,

    Ron

An old post (from Joustericon) showing dimensions of L42 / L39 and Envoy barrel.

The question was asked at the time if this included the Enforcer barrel but no-one had an answer.

This is for the first type of barrel, the heavy "snakeskin" type.
Overall length from where barrel mates with
    receiver to the muzzle=26.75 inches
Diameter at this point is 1.230 inches
Length from where barrel mates with receiver to beginning of first "step" in barrel= 1.172 inches. Diameter at this point is 1.140 inches
Length of first "step" in barrel= 0.365 inches. Diameter at end of step is 0.956
Here the barrel resumes a slight taper to a point 1.250 inches back from the muzzle. This is where the front sight mount is mounted to the barrel. The barrel for the L42 gets a military type sight base, and the Envoy/L39 gets a simple dovetail.
At this point barrel diameter is 0.791 inches.
At the muzzle of the barrel the diameter is 0.767 inches
