    E-BAY Rear Sight Puller Mods

A couple of weeks ago, I bought this sight puller off of e-bay. It looked like it would do the trick, and a little less pricier than what the usual is, so I bought it. Well the way it was, it would work fine on flip sights, but a type 2 or 3's windage knob hangs down below the plane of the dovetail and no allowances were made on this puller when I got it. I took it to my cousins machine shop, milled 0.80 off the top of each fixture, and had to mill back the boss of the puller plunger. I had to do this for clearance of the windage knob. You can see by the pic's now that I have ample clearance for the windage knob when either removing or installing. The little jeweler's screw driver show's the clearance now. Neither of the top clamps are tightened down, I just snugged it up for the picture's.
