    heresy

Has anyone tried a 7.62 x 54 MM conversion on a Historic Arms Bren? No doubt this has been answered somewhere on the web, but I figured I'd try here first. Does Historic do such conversions? Has anybody tried this, and how does/did it work? Too many questions, I know. Historic has a warning not to use any barrel not installed by them. Thanks,

Len has converted .303 barrels/Brens to 7.62x54r in the past... I have such a semi-auto set-up. Not sure if he still is... You'd want to contact him directly.

You'll also need to obtain a modified bolt (enlarged face) and a 8mm/7.62 extractor and a ZB-39 magazine or two.

Getting a properly headspaced bolt and barrel combination is the real concern... barrel nut, bolt, barrel and locking lug all come into play... which is probably why Len wants to make the conversions himself.

Hah. Figures....I had three brand NEW ZB-39 magazines and sold them off to some guy named Vic on Gun Boards a few years back. I'll drop Len an email in a day or so and see if he can fix me up.
    Thanks for the input.
