Lee Enfield Wooden Transportation / Transit Case - eBay (item 250605287279 end time Apr-03-10 16:50:28 PDT)

This auction is for a wooden Lee Enfield Rifleicon chest/transit case. The outside dimensions of the box are: 47 x 5 x 8.5 inches. This particular box is marked for a No 7 rifle but it will also accommodate a No 4 with the scope removed. Overall it is in reasonable condition for its age. The hardware is all present and works, the handles are solid and strongly fastened and the interior blocks are in place. The only serious defect with this box is the bottom at one end. This area is in rough condition as can be seen in the photo. The box is useable as is, however it looks to me that the bottom piece is held on with screws and would not be difficult to replace. The other option would be to use this box as a template and build your own, transferring the original hardware.

Other than a small handling fee ($2) to cover packing materials and my trip to the post office, shipping will be actual cost via Canada Post. The shipping calculator should provide you with a reasonably accurate shipping estimate, however that is all it is - an estimate. I will confirm shipping cost with the winning bidder at the end of the auction. You can also check for your self by going to Canada Post - Mailing, Shipping, Marketing, Shopping, Sharing and entering the packaged dimensions - 49 x 7 x 10 inches and 20 pounds.
    Regards,
    Badger

It looks exactly the same as mine, even the hinges.
Mine cost me $57 plus post from Canadaicon last month,
    in better condition, different seller.

Those hinges appear to be the same as the ones on mine.

I am no expert, but the "hasps" look correct to me, and are the same on all my no 7 boxes. The bottom on this one on ebay would be easy to replace. I also saw one go on ebay in slightly better shape for $263 I think it was not too long ago? Most of the ones I see at gunshows are for sale for $100 to $150 depending on condition.
If anyone ever needs replacement parts for a box, let me know I build no 4 mk 1 T sniper transit boxes and have leather handles, lid keepers, various stencils, etc, to repair exisiting boxes

Hello, it might be a little late on the post but I would like a new transit case for a Mark 4 T if possible. A message if possible.
