    Hallo Blackcat,

    auch Dir Frohe Ostern!

And now for all, the "ar42" stands for Mauser Werke, Berlin-Borsigwalde 1942 and the "26" below the Eagle on the barrel too. Yes the numbers on the metallwork and the wood are normaly matching numbers. So you have an Rifle made out of two. But thats not a problem not only the Russians did it, the Wehrmacht did it too. And if it is a good shooter than enjoy shooting it. Only the collectors value is low on that rifle but that would be not a problem for me. Ich hoffe Dir geholfen zu haben?! Hope that helps?!

    Regards

    Gunner

P.S.: If you want it, i can send you a nearly complete list of WaA Codes.

Hallo gunner! Thanks for your sudden answer. I supposed it is made with parts from 2 different rifles. Anyway: it is nice, in good conditions and -especially- it shoots very good!
Its commercial value.... for me it's not important (mir wurscht!).
Well, if you have a complete list of WaA Codes you can send to me. I have one but I don't know if it is a complete list or not, so another one is always useful.
    Again many thanks!

Y'all multi-lingual types need to come to the Old South (ex-CSA) and learn to speak so that NO ONE understands you. We had Christian Springer (of Springerwaffen) about ruin't after three 1/2 months in a little room at ***** Inc.

No drugs! Just "hillbilly" Gunsmith extrordinaire Lou Clark. Funny stuff, but long ago...

Is your "allowance" monetary or regulatory? I was thinking you could add to the collection fairly regularly. Mind you, I understand about the "empty wallet" syndrome as well!

    jmoore,

the allowance is regulatory. We are only allowed to buy two guns in half a year. And they start counting not at your last purchased rifle,no they are counting from the rifle before! Bad way to count.
