I no longer have Enforcer sn. 767. I sold it to a collector in the North East USA last year. It was a Charnwood Ordnance assembled rifle in new condition and never had a scope fitted.

Nice pictures! Strictly speaking, the handguard appears to be an L39 type (modified No.8 rifle), without the flat to clear the scope lens cap.
The safety catch operating lever is also a standard No.4 rifle pattern, not the slightly shortened one with a round thumbpiece which was introduced to facilitate operation when the micrometer backsight was fitted.

Quite correct - in fact you cannot apply the safety with a standard No4 safety lever it fouls on the PH5E sight mount. (Dont ask how I know, its a long time ago and we all make mistakes)
I wouldnt have thought you'd be allowed onto a range with an inoperable safety.

Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...
