Yes Kev, those pics illustrate EXACTLY the type I found as well as the rest of the 'Normal' L4 mags in the transit box.

There were some early LB serially numbered L4A1's still doing the rounds in the mid to late 80's. The old RAPC Depot at Winchester still had them together with some L2A2 Sterlings. I remember them because their parent workshop got a couple of the special ejector blocks from Ord for them.

Hey Kev,
Have a look at this:
Bren Gun L4 LMG Machine Gun for sale | GunStar.
I thought it was a SA Bren, but they guy selling it says it's an L4.
Cheers!

It's an Ex South African Army conversion I think. There are quite few of them appearing on the Deact Circuit at present!

Yes as tankhunter says an SA conversion, the seller tries to cover himself rather losely by saying "guns of this type".

That gun came from DandB originally, Its amazing how many of these guns are moved around dealers. I loked over 3 DD Enfields at a local dealer (They were sold to a collector supposedly) and low and behold 1 week later they were on another site with a nice profit of £100 each. This is the sort of thing you notice when you make notes of serial numbers.
