    LMG Magazine

And now sadly, ALL Ausie 7.62 mm LMG are going to be cut up! Apart from those few that will be offered to Museums of course! What a waste! They could make a LOT of money flogging them on the surplus market. But then again, it's all a Government conspiricy NOT to release Ex Service Weapons on to the Civillian Circuit!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. It's mildly ironic that Lithgowicon Brens are 'entry level' guns to UKicon collectors, even though they're numerically very rare in terms of total production by Enfield, Inglis etc.
