Wow! You don't see those "Springfield carbines" very often! Rare indeed.

I love it!
Think beyond the obvious for just a second; jokes aside, these types of silly things are actually quite useful. it doesn't matter what text this particular seller may have used and even though it isn't overly clear or full, even on the oblique like this it is obviously a honkin' bad one.
The very best part is that newer less seasoned guys can save this picture on their computer for later (maybe even blow it up and really study it) - then they will know if they see any part of this one on a Garand stock someday down the road (and there are many out there already), they will know for certain that it is absolutely a repop. Further, anyone who argues about it is not only wrong beyond a shadow of a doubt but now you will have to question either their ability or their character ... and you get to sit back and listen, and smile, and maybe nod a little ...
Of course there is no substitute for hands on examinations, but the internet makes it quite a bit easier and quicker to turn yourself into your own useful pocket expert. You just have to work at it.

That's not even a good candidate for a restoration project. It would cost a small fortune to make it correct for a six digit serial number.
