    Could this be the elusive 1903 Remington Handguard?

    It is definitely concave, and has the front clip relief.

    It appears to be a Remington handguard. Can you post a picture of the sight line clearance groove taken at a slightly oblique angle?

    Rick, don't say that. About five years ago, or so, I passed on one because it was marked NZicon. Yikes!!! (that was before I know much about the Rem '03s)
