    Carbine Gas System Thread Size

Anyone know what size the Gas system threading is? and or what size chaser to use on the threads? I have never seen anywhere on the web the size chaser it takes to clean up the threads. I know you dont have to mess with them much, but if you do, I would like to know the size. I saw one reply on some forum, and that a guy said 1/2 x 32 NFT. Any truth to this? I have never heard of that size!
