Enfield No.2 revolver made in Vietnam

More information has come to light regarding two Vietnamese made revolvers. The September 1996 "Gun Report" Powder Flask has an inquiry regarding a Vietnam built copy of the French M1892 8mm revolver picked up in the Mekong Delta in 1966-1967. Photos show the top of the barrel stamped "C.A.X. L.C.S" and "Made in Vietnam." There are no further markings reported. Further the article discusses features of the photographs that indicate the gun is not a French built model but one made locally.

Interestingly my Enfield revolver as pictured at the beginning of this thread has C.A.X. markings on the barrel and a "CA wreath" and Cong-An-Xuong." It would appear that the C.A..X stands for the compnay, Cong-An=Xuong.
