Red face Need some help IDing this folding stock

Would appreciate some help in IDing this folder stock. I was looking at a nice 5 mil, mostly correct Inland today with an unusual folding stock. I've never seen one like it, and don't know if it was a production aftermarket stock, or someone's beautifully made home built.

The craftsmanship is very nice indeed, with only the interior channel looking as though it was hand worked. I'm no woodworker, and can't say how it was made, but it's one piece of nice walnut, that has been quite professionally finished. In addition, the metal is well designed and quite sturdy.

I would very much appreciate any thoughts or information you experienced carbine people may have. Also would like to know a ballpark value for such an item.

Thanks to all who can assist.

It looks like the National Ordnance model of "Schmeisser" stock. They sold them on their carbines and as an accessory item. I first saw them in the 70`s and had one. I couldn`t say if they`re worth anything or not.

I recall seeing those years ago.

They came on the paratrooper version made by National Ord. Called the Schmeisser style. It's in War Baby Comes Home.

Thanks Browningauto rifle and Jim. You're right on the money.

Found this link on Jim Mock's website as well. National Ordnance M1 Carbine

If anyone out there can hazzard a guess as to rough current value, please let me know.

    Regards,
    John

Only $24.95 then. Sounds like a deal but at that time shooters were under $100.

Still, it was different and a lot were out there.

I was once following "collapsible stocks" on GB. I've seen ones of this type go for upwards of $150. I bought a used Owen because I couldn't afford this one. It hasn't been made in almost 40 years. And it is "rather cool looking"

Thanks for the info "Canons". Judging by this one, they appear to be quite well made as well.
