    Rock Island 1903 plain barrel

I have a RIA 1903 serial # 314xxx, 1918 year... This 1903 barrel has no marking, no front peep sight, no rear windage sight... Front and rear sights are like normal rifle... Anyone have any clue as to this? I will try and get some pics up... Thank you Eddie...

Hard to tell from your description. So the rifle does have front and rear sights, just not original?

Sounds like a RIA reciever re-barreled with a commercial sporting barrel and commercial sporting sights.

    FWIW,
