It'd be interesting to know where he found it Harry - apart from 'in the ground.....' One of the cleaners at Warminster brought in a large selection of badges etc etc etc, found by her husband and his metal detector mates in and around the old 1st and 2nd WW Australian
and NZ Army camps scattered around the Salisbury Plain area. It was amazing the stuff they've picked up and identified including a knife fork and spoon set with a blokes Australian Army number stamped into the handle. They have since identified him via CARO Canberra. Things don't change as I still have a set with my old soldier number, issued in the 60's and carried everywhere. No Knife and fork - No eat!

As far as I know he found it near, or in Firbeck, S. Yorkshire.
