    Vietnam magazine from 1968

I just had the opportunity to take some photos of this AK-47 magazine that was brought back from Vietnam in 1968. There is a bullet hole in the floorplate of just about 5.56mm in diameter where the bullet entered, then made an exit through the right side. The bullet wedged the magazine follower at the bottom of the magazine, without any tension, the cartridges will just fall-out. The follower is still wedged at the bottom.

That's a pretty interesting piece of history.

    Ak47 magazine with bullet hole

Glad someone noticed it - I always thought it was kind of interesting. The GI brought back the entire vest with two other "good" magazines and the oiler.

Well, that's ONE that isn't gonna give us any trouble!

Must have given the owner an awful start when that happened.

Biggest problem with wars is that they kill off the best people on both sides.
