    CMP Auctions - 7.26 Winny

I noticed that CMPicon has been pulling out some really unique carbines the last few weeks that they have had their auction site back on line. Seems that they are coming to an end of their carbine supply and the auctions are getting better.

I noted that they have a 7.26 Winchester up starting next week. Anyone want to guess what it will go for?

I am flat broke, so I know its going to be out of my reach/ If anyone would consider buying it, I will gladly make payments to you over the next 5 years...

As a side note, I have been using this auction to "check and balance" the selling prices on commercial sites (GB, etc). Wonder what will be available for that sanity check after the carbines are gone??

Watch what this one goes for and you can get an idea what a nice near correct would go for on open market.

Bill, Thats a good guess... I checked the CMPicon auction history and they do not list having auctioned a 7 mil winny in completed section... wish I had the cash to grab it.

USGI, I forgot about that site, but looking through some of their auctions, they seem to have the same problem of sellers "over stating" particular "features" of some of the guns.. guess that will always be the case with some people... I do like the finish of that one you linked to.

Jack the dog is a pretty good seller. He does consignment sales only. If you look through his auctions he starts at a low price and lets the bidders decide.
His stuff always sells. Every once in a while you will have a nice piece from someone else, but like you said, most are just retreads over and over at an outragous price. I have had a couple dealings with him and he is a easy guy to deal with. I can't remember his name, but it is not Jack.

Jack the dog is a good seller. I have bought from him before. He is fair and communicates well. I'd love to have that Winnie!

I sure wish I had $1,000. That rifle is a steal at the price and looks to be in good condition. I hate being broek - thanks ex-wife!
