MILSURP MANA - enfields and mosin - CGN pvt. ad

    http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum...d.php?t=203350

    Heres the add:

    For Sale:

    New - No4Mk2 - Irish Contract
    Recently removed from wrap
    $900.00 + shipping

    Lithgowicon No1MkIII* - Army Cadet Rifle - .303 Britishicon
Army cadet rifles were denoted by the green stripe on the wrist of the butt stock.
Does not come with sling. Bore is excellent with the exception of one small pit 1/3 the way in from the muzzle. Otherweise the bore is mirror bright with sharp rifleing. Slick action, cycles flawlessly, good parkerizing and a trigger to die for. Numbers on the bolt & action match.

    $525.00 + shipping

    Finnishicon rebuild M91 Mosin Nagant
Hex Receiver - Not import marked
    Russianicon Arctic Birch stock
There is an arsenal fix on the tip of the forestock
    No cleaning Rod
    Mint as new bore
    Comes with sling
    Trigger guard does not match.
Piece of shrink tube on front blade to bring point of impact down to 100m (IT WORKS!)
This is an ace shooter. The fins new what they were doing.
    $325.00 + shipping
    Mint Bore

I thought only the Brit build 1955 no4mk2's were that valuable. I usually see the irish ones from the 54 era go for 600, tops!

Maybe someone else can shine some light on that.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I think the light of delusion is shining on that No4. The Lithgowicon's overpriced too, IMO.

Sorry, but the "mummy wrapped" No4 rifles only collect a premium while they are STILL IN THE WRAP.

Other than that they are just another nice FIRED/USED rifle.

Why anyone would un-wrap a new rifle when they can easily buy an already unwrapped one exactly the same has always confused me.
