    Not strapless !! M1 Carbine holster

    M1icon Carbine Leather Holsters are pretty hard to come by. Especially with the straps intact.... I lucked into this one today.... Good news is the straps are all there and uncut. Bad news is the whole thing is pretty stiff and unpliable. (No pun intended!) Anybody got any ideas as to the best way to restore some of the flexibility??

    Ronnie, this is Texas... ask the guys down at the local tack and feed what they are using on their saddles... Some of the stiffness is to help it hold its form. But if you are saying its stiff due to being dry, it needs some leather conditioner.

    Oh, and BTW, it's dated 1945. Kinda hard to see in the photo..

    No reason to be embarrassed, $300 now a days in that condition is a good deal. I have seen them go for $400 and up in mint condition with all the straps.

    1945 dated I have not seen before. Mine are 1944. I got them in 1988 for $100 and $125 at Pomona. With inflation I would say you got the better deal.
