Help deciphering Regimental Disc

Recently, I've seen two other people with the same disk markings, asking the same question. So far, I haven't heard if its been identified. One of the disks was found on a rifle in New Zealand, but that doesn't mean its from that area.

I have been looking things up and reading book about these things until my head hurts and my eyes ache. Nothing. Nada. Zip.

Interesting that there is an old KA marking under the current marks. King's African Rifles, perhaps? And there were no less than THREE South African units which used KA at one time or another.

The removal of the original marks is sloppy, just NOT up to British standards. I am wondering if the modern markings could be Turkish? That would certainly make sense of the "T C" part, anyway. Turkey certainly got enough Lee-Enfields in Mespot: whole Army's worth, in fact.

I have been told in another post that 'KA' stands for the 'Karachi Artillery Volunteers'.
