A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. You come at it from the inland side, but the house itself is quite close to the top side of death valley, probably a heck of a view there somewhere.
As for making movies there, talk about remote and near impossible to get to, our 4wd burned out its front hubs going up the canyon. Bloomin good job the law dept did getting manson out of there.

Im sorry but if you are talking Death Valley you must be reffering to the Barker Ranch. This is another place where Manson was arrested. I dont know a lot about what the ranch was used for before the Manson family took it over.
Here is a little info on it.
Barker Ranch: Charles Manson's Last Hideout

And both the Sphan Ranch and Barker Ranch have since burned down.

Great find on the right case. A copper spun 45/70. Can you make out any head stamp ? These are the cases that would come apart at the groove in Trapdoors . They caused problems at the Little Big Horn.
