    Garands

Do surplus Garands surface once in a while in Canadaicon , and what do they go for
I have been surfing the web for a while and havent found anything .
I even went to a nice gun action in town yesterday , but no luck .
People seemed to be paying over the odds for long guns too so sadly i diddnt pick anything up. the stupidist thing was SKS`s were going for $300 when there was a store a block away that was selling them for $180 incl taxes.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Garands are available all over the country. You just have to be in the right place at the right time.

Unfortunately for the prospective Garandicon buyer, they seem to be going through a real increase in popularity. Translation: prices are way up. Rifles that sold for $200 or less a few years ago are now selling in the $600 price range. The Exchange on CGN normally has a couple Garands for sale every week.

That was the Bud Haynes auction you're refering too? Were the SKSs normal Norincos or were they Yugoicon?

If they were Norinco commercial SKSs, that's obviously overpriced. The early production Chinese military SKSs had a blade bayonet.

CGN is www.canadiangunnutz.com. I must say, I'm surprised you found this site before CGN.
