A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... The Prvi Partizan 30 carbine ammo is the most accurate ammuntion, short of handloads, I have shot out of my USGI M1icon carbines.

Much more accurate than Aguila, WW, and LC I have as a comparison.

I also have direct chrono data from both Aguila and PPU (Prvi Partizan).

Aguila: Avg. 1890 FPS ES 101 FPS
PPU: Avg. 1920 FPS ES 50 FPS

Shoots flawlessly.....no stovepipes, no failure to extract or eject, and no short strokes. I sold 3k rounds of Aguila and bought 3k rounds of PPU. It's cleaner and in a different league as far as accuracy.

I would buy 100 rounds from Widener's and see how it works for you. Turn around and get 1500 rounds so you can get $1 off/box.

That is a good price. I alreadyhave about 1,200-1,300 rounds of RP FMJ and JSP for my carbine, but would get some of that too if I weren't scrounging to build and AR! Widener's is an excellent outfit to deal with. When I had an AK, I got most of my ammo from them.

Just a plug for some really good people where I have bought a lot of ammo. They have a good bit of Carbine ammo in stock.

The Privi hardball shoots very accurately in my gun.

However, the softpoints produce about one failure to feed per 15 rounds. This has occurred with 3 different magazines that have worked flawlessly with ball ammo.

I use the PRVI often in different rifles with success. Now i am using their bullets ( 110grs, RN) in my carbine and i am very happy with them. They are accurate and cheap i payed $ 76 per 1000.

    Regards

    Gunner
