I don't think, bearhunter, that the scotarms auction prices are all that indicative of uk prices as a whole, more of a wholesale if you can get there-type price. 303 no 4s are normally £200-£400, smles £300-£400 or £500 plus if MkIII no stars etc - so overall probably more than in north america.

I tend to agree :
If you look at US prices in dollars they are around the same as 'shop' prices in the UK in 'pounds' which makes the UK prices around 33% higher than the US

The auctions such as Scotarms are where dealers go to get their stock.
Scotarms are not known for having 'quality' or 'top end' weapons so when a good / unusual one appears it is sometimes overlooked and a bargain can be had.
