    PBI in Hospital

    Hey Members,

I came to Alabama to visit my Mother-in-Law and to go see Paul Imbragulio in Huntsville, Alabama. I kept waiting for Paul to give me a call, as we had planned this last week. I was starting to get worried, when I did not hear from him and kept leaving message after message. Paul called me this morning from the Hospital. He had a Heart Attack Sunday night and was rushed to the Hospital. They have put a Stint in him and he seems to be doing OK now, and wants like Hell to get out of that place and go home. If they let him out today I may go visit him, if not I will have to wait another day, have to get back to Texas. Paul wanted me to let everyone on here know, he seems to be doing alright, and (LOL) wanted Tired Retired to know - he isn't getting his collection, so he still has his sense of Humor. I'll be in contact with him as long as my Mother-in-Laws computer is working alright, cause its been hit and miss sometimes with trouble on her phone line. And here I am without any tools!, thats what I do for a living (Telephone Repair). If all goes well, he will be home tonight and back on line this coming week. Modern Medicine now days is a miracle. So lets all wish Paul the best, and say a little prayer for him.

    Paul,

Best wishes in a speedy recovery. We'll chat when you get back home - and it better be soon. (What do you mean I ain't in the will??? What about the insurance policy??)

Seriously, What a shock. Charlie got kicked with a horse, Harlan and his hospital stays, Bruce and his issues, Ed been fighting cancer and now Paul. We are all proving just one thing - that these weapons we collect are going to outlive us all.

Paul - on that note, you better give your collection a run for the money and see which one rusts first - you or your IP. Get home soon or we will send in Nurse Helga to give you a sponge bath!

    Paul,

You, must have found the #2 Inland, and stressed over how to pry it away from it's current owner.

But seriously, even if you think you feel better, don't try to rush it. Take the time the Dr.'s recommend. A friend at work had a stint put in on a Thursday. He felt so good he came back to work the following Tuesday. Seemed Ok for a while, on light duty and all. Well last week he passed from a second heart attack. It had been seven weeks.

I had 5 way bypass surgery in 2006, not stints. Was told to stay off work at least eight weeks. Did all the recommended changes. More exercise, low fat diet and cut out salt, 4 oz of beef a week max, lost weight. At least I never smoked. I do miss the ice cream, butter, and new yorks though. It is hard to change your life preferences. But I am still around and ornery as ever.

And I still want to see the carbine display. Now I'm being selfish.

Best wishes for a complete recovery.

    Jim

    Guys,

Just got back from the Hospital where Paul is cooped up. He is in good Spirits and seems to be fine. I came 700 miles to look at a carbine and to view Pauls collection. Paul told me next time I come to visit him, to let him know so he can get a check-up first (LOL). He is in good spirits and will go home tomorrow. Doctors said he checked-out for a minute or two, and they got him back. I feel sure in the next couple of days you will see him on the forum.
