I used to see Herlo mint barrels at Perry on Commerical Row. Mostly sold-off now. They were a mess, to say the least. Not sure if the US Army actually paid Herlo for the barrels as all were rejected.

Bubba-7, You think you can post some pics?, Maybe you have some on file, I like to see the markings. If you please.
Could you ID the barrel just on site, I mean if the barrel was installed to the carbine , Or do you have to break it down? I was reading that one barrel was stamped with Rock-ola was that just a fluke. And one other question, Korean carbines they had the selector to full auto or not ?, If so how could they come back to the U.S.A Thanks

I wrote an article for the CC NL about Herlo barrels. In the article was a picture of the Rock-Ola stamped Herlo barrel. The letters in Rock-Ola was a different font and size. I still have the barrel I think. Email me if there is something you would like. For years I saw those fake Rock-Ola Herlo barrels being sold on carbines on the auctions.
Every importer has to go through the inventory and remove M2 parts from M1 carbines and remove any M2 or M3 carbines. Usually under the watchful eye of at least several BATF agents. Who take them, somewhere, "to be disposed of", don't you know.
As far as pictures, I have given up trying to post pictures on this site.

No, they didn't have acceptance stamps. Having said that, Herlo did stamp them with a DOD CC marking that folks mistake for an acceptance stamp.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
