I already been down that road with someone else. In my opinoin, that carbine is good to go. While I think some questions have popped up, I believe that contacting the seller and asking him directly ( or requesting different pics which is gladly offered) will clear any doubt up.

There are very few people in carbine collecting you trust to buy parts from - he is one of them.

    Hi Jim,
Have you seen the Handguards on Ebay that run $65-$195,
Granted they are nice, with different makers but very pricey. I know I have roughly 12+ nice RMC Handguards un boxed ...... @ $195 each X 12 = $2340.00.
That should buy a pretty nice carbine !!
Maybe even one of your beaters !

WWII M1 CARBINE hand guard 2 rivit original WW2 IO - eBay (item 360270750390 end time Sep-07-10 09:08:50 PDT)

At least Eddy's Handguard pricing is pretty consistant, you just have to pick thru The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

I'm not sure what club he refers to, it may be local to his area. But I've bought parts from him that he stated belonged to members of it.
Back when I bought the still in the wrap Weber bolt tools, I recall him commenting that the club member (owner) would be happy to see them sell.
Maybe since he's set up on GB his fellow club members have him sell some items for them like consignment sales.

    Enjoy Your Weekend,
    Charlie

    BTW here's that package,

I put 2 rivet hand guards on the for sale page, sold a few. They were as nice or nicer and at $25.

I guess I need to puy some stuff on ebay.
