Late mk3 bren

I only saw one bren of interest at military odessey that was a very late MK3 UE61 A6901. Did'nt buy it due to the crazy price being asked.

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Was that the one that Chelmsford Militaria had? With a front 'jungle' grip and clocking in at a cool £950?

D&B had it on there stall if i recall.Right about the price £950 but said he was open to offers when asked he would accept £800.I walked away at that.Shame because those late ones have the different reciever markings and are not dated on the side in the normal way.It would have made a nice addition to the collection i think the biggest problem was it had a MK2 slide.
