    Hi Frank,
I had noticed that JP (Quagmire) was selling a 6,741,342 Inland Hand Stamp yesterday.
While looking it over and pondering the $750 opening bid, I happen to refresh the page and seen that a member from here had put the opening bid on it.
I e-mailed this member to see if it was him. At the time I wasn't positive what user name he used on GB.
He contacted me back and YES it was him. But gave me the go ahead to bid if I wanted it. I don't like bidding against people I know and respect. But since I had his ok...... Later by the time I'd got back to the auction it had jumped by nearly $400.
Would have loved to called her mine, but had to pass on this one. I'm sure the winner will be happy with it. It is a beautiful carbine. As is the stock.
    Here's a link to it........

Anyone looking for a great shooter will appreciate the DGR/SG being offered now.
DGR Saginaw SG M1 Carbine : Curios and Relics at GunBroker.com

I've never heard from anyone who's dealt with Dean's work who hasn't been pleased.

From the start I've been interested in the Split Production Block made by SG/S'G' 3,250,020-3,651,519.
Quagmire states that DGR parked the barrel and action. I like how uniform the color and texture came out.

Has anyone else noticed that the SG front sights with the Groove behind the sight blade if still in original finish have that dark Blued/Black look to them?
I have 3 here and all are of the consistantly darker color.
Also noticed or seemed to have noticed that all the Saginaw SG bolts I've seen that still have the original finish appear to be of a darker Blued/Black color.

    Frank,
I'll start a new post about the NPM's.

    Cheers,
    Charlie-painter777

    Charlie,

Quag was good enough to put up a link to the hi-res pictures. Wish everyone did that on GB. Anyway, That sight looks really good in the hi-res close up shot. You can really tell the color differences in hi-res #11.

Did Quag just decide to stop posting? He always had some good info for us newbies.

    T-R,
Bubba-7 is a good friend of JPs.
Not sure if JP has some health issues or just busy.

Usually I will stop posting when I get bit on buying a carbine. It turns you off from collecting and posting for a awhile. I got two "hey wake" up posts from Badger. So I have posted again.
    Happy hunting to everybody.

Good to see you here again.
