    P14 Volley Sights

Relatively new to the forum but glad to be here.

I picked up a very nice P14 at a memorabilia show last year. It is only missing the volley sights (I know....like all the others..). Is there any hope of finding these? I have been looking at some of the nicer shows (OGCA, AGCA) but no luck so far.

Have a look on the Lee Enfield forum. The gentleman from EFD Rifles in Kent, who contributes under the name "enfieldlock", is the guy you want. He can supply the bits.

P.S. to moderators: have you any idea why this software has the irritating habit of repeating words after a line break?

    Patrick,

I haven't heard of the problem you describe, but I'll check to see if Doug (Badger) has heard of it.

Never heard of it either ...

Send details of system configuration, browser type and version via a Tech Support request and I'll have a systems analyst check it, although I doubt it's this end. With 13,000+ registered users, I think someone else would have reported it too.

I see you're in Germanyicon and I know that member Gunner had some strange problems with connections and missing data etc, which he I believe he traced back to his local ISP. It almost sounds as if your ISP is responding to the CR/LF ascii characters being transmitted from here in a strange manner.

In the very OLD days, we used to have to set 1/2 duplex or full duplex in order to avoid echoing characters which appeared as duplications on our local terminals, but wow... that was 30 years ago...

    Regards,
    Badger

OK Badger, if no-one else has this effect, I'll just live with it. Maybe it's a gravitational anomaly caused by living in the middle of Mauserland.
    Thanks for the reply.

    GOT it!
The effect comes and goes when I make slight adjustments to the screen width. Not a forum software problem, just a glitch on my PC.

Not sure if I've seen the problem on here, but it certainly happens on Gunboards and The Stalking Directory forums.
