    CZ 52 help!

    ARGH!

Okay. A few months back I bought a CZ-52 off Gunbroker. Sale turned into a nightmare. The self-proclaimed "Police Officer" who sold it to me jerked me around for months about the ammo it was supposed to come with, and shipped the pistol regular USPS without signature delivery. Anyway, I finally took it to the range last week...and it won't fire. It makes a faint strike on the primer cap...but that's it.

So: what could be wrong with this thing? The firing pin was supposedly changed out when I bought it and the original sent along. I just pulled the pin out and it looks pretty worn. Some corrosion near the top, wear around the plunger insert. Blued. The supposedly original pin is not blued and looks new. But it also looks cast to me.

Anybody have an idea, or a picture of an original pin next to a new one? Need some help guys.

You may find the info you need here:

A number of places sell aftermarket CZ-52 firing pins that are supposed to outperform the original cast version. On the other hand, some expert shooters recommend just accepting that they will break and keeping spare originals on hand. Your call.
