    1917 ejector question

Just installed a new ejector (original leaf spring type) that came from Numrich. I can feel the spring trying to move the ejector but it doesn't have enough power to push the ejector out into the path of the case as it comes back. Wondering if the Numrich part is a little too thick? Maybe need to file it thinner. Anybody else had this problem with a new leaf spring? I can help the spring move it with my finger but it seems to drag slightly.

Update. Took it apart 3 more times. It is not binding, the spring from Numrich just doesn't have enough tension to operate the ejector. Guess I will just go with the ball point pen spring idea.

Final update. Now has ball point pen spring in addition to the leaf spring. Ejection is perfect now.

Something seams amiss. Two of my rifles have the modified ejectors with the coil springs. The coil springs arenot very strong and function fine.
