    Winchester Model 12 - 16 gauge request for info

    Would you fine Gentlemen have an idea where I could find on online source for information on this thing particulalry how to get inside the magazinr tube inorder to remove the wooden dowl that limitsit to three shells and I assume was put in to make it legal for hunting?

    I can get back with pictures and serial number if that helps.

    You will have to take the mag tube apart to remove the plug. They aren't hard, just remove the transverse screws in the front of the mag tube. There's a takedown pin that must be slid out to one side too. It has a catch that needs depressed. Allow the front out. It's under spring so careful. The plug will likely be in the spring so pull it out and assemble in reverse. Just for the guys that think I missed it, make sure the gun's unloaded first. You can find stripping diagrams and exploded firearms drawings all over the internet.
