Postal Meter range report

Armed with my new magazine from the CMP, I decided to do some plinking. I had to aim 5 inches low to get it in the 10 ring. This was the last 5 shot group at 50 yards. Aguila 110 grain ammo. Great fun! Regards, Rick.

Depending where your point of aim actually was, sounds like you are almost dead-on for 100 yd shooting. Not only does it look go, it shoots great! Congrats!

(As far as a house gun, just aim for the belly button and it will give a very proper reception.)

Good shooting weapon. According to my BC program, to be dead on POA at 150 (correct for the 100/150 setting), you should be just over 3 in above POA at 50, and 4 inches above POA at 100. You are probably sighted in at about 175 yards dead on. I wouldn't change a thing. You are close to that and WELL within mil-spec! For 100 yard match, you should be perfect as you are for a 6 o'clock hold on an SR100. Nice Weapon!

Good info, thanks. I screwed up a bit.......the rear sight was not all the way down. I'll do some further testing tomorrow at 50 and 100 yards. It sure is fun to shoot....brings back old memories. Regards, Rick.

Make sure it is in the 100/150 notch. The correct sighting for that notch is dead on at 150. Aguilla chronos at about 1850 fps. For dead on at 150, the figures are: 25 yds + 1.5, 50 yards +3.1, 75 yards +3.82, 100 yards +3.64, 150 yards POA. I call it a "pop can hold." A 6 o'clock hold on a pop can from 25 yards to about 125 will send it sailing!!!!!
