    "The Regent" rifle sight

Hi all, I recently bought a sight on ebay marked: ALFRED PARKER BIRMINGHAM "THE REGENT"
Anyone know what it fits? I've done all the usual searches and can't find any info on it. I hoped it might fit a No4, but it looks like it wants to go on something with a flat topped receiver.
    Any info greatly appreciated.

    Exclamation The elusive Regent.

I have one of these in my collection, but have had very little success finding information on it.
I did manage to find an article once, but the laptop I downloaded it to crashed, and I have'nt managed to locate it since.
I have a vague recollection that it was attached to a Long Lee, the sight boss is about that width, I can almost see the article in my minds eye, a picture of Alfred Parker sitting with a leg crossed and a long rifle resting across his leg with this sight on.
"The Regent" may have some bearing on the prince regent of the time.
Someone somewhere will have the answer. I have been trying to gather info. on Mues and Central sights with not a great deal of success, so if information is so difficult to obtain on these, than no wonder we are going nowhere in our search.

    Hey T/bone,
Have you noticed the lack of responses to any question relating to aftermarket sights? You can almost feel the shudder of the "As Original"s at the very mention of such a thing.
There must be other sight collectors out there somewhere, maybe you and I are destined to go hand in hand into the Ark.
    I'm bored.

Th 'Regent' was an aftermarket replacement for the lash-up converted .303 No.4 sight which was stuck on the 7.62 L81A1 Cadet Rifles (the same sight which is being punted on fleabay and elsewhere as a "windage adjustable No.4 sight", which it isn't). The Public Schools promptly threw this abortion away and fitted a Regent, or something similar. The Cadet Corps rifles had to remain as they were.

Dang moderators! They oughta hang all of them.

Anything under 200kb or so is fine here.
