1st seires Nogoya ser.61411 what year?

She is real smooth like glass with a fine polished blue, One of slickest 99 shooters I have. I think maybe made 1941. Very, very accurate! I would take this rifle deer hunting with iron sites any time. aa sites, drain hole in front of magazine, place for monopod, screws staked and never taken apart. I still think these are better bolt rifles than the K-98,enfield,springfield,Mosins. Short handy and fast!

I agree. For a battle rifle I think the Japaneseicon had the best rifle. If you want something to take home to show your mama, you might want a mauser. riceone

I have been told that Nagoya was still producing the NO Series T-99's in 1941 and that the series one was started in 1942.

Yours would be a little over halfway through the 1st series (about 99,000 in each series).
