    SC barrel dates

Seen a 1-44 SC dated barrel. Vishooter doesn't show any past '43. Was wondering what's the latest date you guys have seen on a SC barrel?

    Mike D,

Some (very few) SC 2-44 dated barrels have been reported.

Did you happen to make a note of the s/n of that rifle with the SC 1-44 dated barrel?

Thanks for the info, Don. Serial # is 4.79 mil range. Seems a little early for that barrel date, but ya know, who knows?

The rifle has been overhauled, refinished, and re-assembled from mixed parts. The barrel is not likely original.

No doubt about that! The barrel itself was my interest. Something I have not seen. I'll definitely keep my eyes out for a Feb. '44 barrel!
