    GEW 98 Firing pin protector..

How do you remove the firing pin protector from a GEWicon 98 stock???? I can't see any way to turn either end out. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The ends of the tube that go through the stock are flared over the "washers" on each side of the stock. I know of no simple way of removing these parts without damage.
