    Bolt head, no chamfered edge, with notch, cleaned since pic taken
    Can anyone tell me anything else from the pics? variations? Makers marks? all BSA? Dispersal pictured last week, cleaning in progress..researching now, with Strattons book
    2nd variation brass butt plate with 3 white weld spots?

    "Weld spots" on buttplate are actually the end of the screw that holds the spring for the door and the ends of the door hinge pin.

    Barrel says '40. Typical of the rather rough appearance of these post-bombing of the BSA works guns.

    I thought it may have been '40..so the factory was destroyed, salvagable barrels brought to BSA for assembly?
